PIG N’ WHISTLE – OVERTIME LAWSUIT BY RESTAURANT WORKERS

On January 27, 2024, RAPAPORT LAW FIRM, PLLC filed a collective action lawsuit in federal court against JDP Restaurant LLC d/b/a Pig N’ Whistle, a Manhattan restaurant group, for unpaid overtime wages. This lawsuit seeks to recover overtime compensation and other wage-related damages under New York Labor Law (“NYLL”) and the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) for kitchen workers.

Specifically, this lawsuit alleges that Pig N’ Whistle failed to pay line cooks and similarly situated kitchen workers premium overtime pay (1 ½ times their regular rates of pay) for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week.
